The blocker is building industrial systems in one of the harshest places humans can reach.
Machines must survive dust, radiation, extreme temperature changes, weak gravity, limited maintenance, and expensive transport from Earth.
Even if the chemistry works, the business only works when there are enough missions that need lunar services.
The Closest Real Version Today
The closest version today is in-situ resource utilization research, lunar exploration programs, oxygen extraction experiments, robotic mining concepts, and private space infrastructure planning.
The idea is being explored seriously, but a commercial Moon fuel station is not operating today.
Could This Become a Real Startup?
Yes, but only if the space economy grows.
The first customers would be space agencies, defense programs, lunar base projects, and private space companies. It would not be a normal consumer business.
